Sergei is a senior data scientist at Qrious (Spark Ventures), an Auckland based big data analytics company, where he responsible for data wrangling, analysing it and building analytical applications using variety of tools (Hive, R, Greenplum, Power BI, Tableau). He received his PhD degree in Physics & Mathematics from Lavrent’ev Institute of Hydrodynamics in Novosibirsk (Akademgorodok), Russia, where Sergei conducted research activities in the areas of mathematical modelling of water flow and transport phenomena in water bodies.
